Micromotion-Enabled IM Nail Proof-of-Concept Study Published in Clinical Biomechanics

The R&D team behind the Apex Tibial Nailing System published the first-ever proof-of-concept cadaveric dataset showing controlled axial interfragmentary motion in an intramedullary nail. These exciting results led the way for the development of the background technology. http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.clinbiomech.2011.08.009

Biomechanical Study Published in Clinical Biomechanics

A comprehensive biomechanical study on the Tibial Nail, including cadaver and bench studies, was published in Clinical Biomechanics. This study showed that the Tibial Nail produces an ideal combination of controlled axial motion at the fracture site with very high torsional stability. http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.clinbiomech.2013.04.006
