Dr. Dailey is an experienced biomechanics research engineer and has been a key member of the development team for the tibial nail technology since its inception. Prior to co-founding OrthoXel, she was employed at Cork Institute of Technology’s MEDIC centre, where she was technical lead in the development of the IP and testing program for the background technology . She also secured external funding to carry out preclinical testing and authored the body of peer-reviewed articles on the use of the device.
Dr. Dailey’s previous research activities have been in the areas of fracture fixation, musculoskeletal biomechanics, microfluidics, respiratory mechanics, cell and tissue mechanics, and computational modeling. Presently, Dr. Dailey is an Adjunct Professor in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA.
